Oh, the juxtaposing of butts and beachroses. My sweet Lisbeth...
These last few posts have been amazing. It is just remarkable to have this window into a bit of Lis's brain processing, and the work of those around her to support her during seizure clusters and recuperation. I also deeply appreciate the clear respect demonstrated so often, as when Lis says "No more" and the camera is immediately turned off.

Martha, your willingness to share so openly the "before" and "after" of Lis's life experience, and yours as a family, was so powerful. Although in my own family my sister's brain trauma happened at birth, I have some small sense of that dramatic jump to an entirely new path, and the grief, confusion, fierce determination, pride, compassion, and humility that comes with it. How lucky you all are to have one another.
Lismicto! Sounds like a Lis Manifesto! Funny! Thankyou so much for your kind words, Andrea! I will be doing a post soon about the challenge and difficulty (and gift) of being a sibling of someone with special needs. Stay tuned...
