Marked Improvement

With the Risperdol decrease, Lisbeth's paper cutting is getting more and more fine tuned, more like the way she used to cut. These days she prefers to use a pizza pan to trace the circle for "the giant snowflakes." Even the simplist of these cuts would make beautiful tiles, or striking fabric designs. I'm planning to create some new fabric soon on Spoonflower, using some of these "new cuts."

Another Treasury!

Lisbeth's Garden Party mandala napkins are currently featured here! Love all the treasury attention we've been getting of late. We have a new batch of summer tees at the printers and will be posting them next week, so stay tuned!

Blue Goddess Mandala Table Quilt

Completed, documented, and now for sale over in Lisbeth's Etsy shop! And I ordered 14 more yards of fabric from Spoonflower today. Stay tuned!

Lisbeth is down with seizures again, but she had a good week and a half or so. I can always tell she's in a good space when she doesn't call me alot - and when she does call, it's to tell me to put money in her bank account! :^) She loves to shop!

Goddess Sisters Mandala Fabric...

...in the process of becoming a table quilt. I'm still using my trusty 50's Singer, but must soon make the leap and buy a new fangled machine that does more than a straight stitch! I'm trimming and backing the quilt with this pretty madras plaid. It was part of my mother's stash of fabric that I inherited when we moved her out of her house into an Alzheimer's unit in an assisted living facility. This fabric is so my mother. I will be adding a ribbon trim, and doing some machine quilting next...
Our table runner in the previous post was mentioned in yet another blog post yesterday! So cool! Check it out!

Lisbeth's Garden Party Mandala Napkins!

Weeeeeee!!!!!!!! I am so pleased with this fabric from Spoonflower! Happy high voltage spring colors! Aren't Lisbeth's mandalas amazing used this way? I am in the process of creating more fabric designs with a more subtle palette, but I just had to start this way, with a rainbow. I will be making more table linens to put in Lisbeth's Etsy shop when my next shipment arrives from Spoonflower - tablecloths, table runners, placemats, and maybe some potholders...so, stay tuned!

Fabric Fun

Both my sister Deb and my daughter Kaitlyn just showed me these bed linens by Lilly Pulitzer for Garnet Hill (above), and commented on how similar these fabric designs are to the ones that I'm creating with Lisbeth's mandalas (below...)!!

Last week I ordered several yards of fabric from Spoonflower using these mandalas of Lisbeth's, which I colorized in Photoshop. I created a half-drop repeat pattern (you can see what that looks like in the top photo, on those long skinny pillows!), with the mandala itself measuring at about 7" in diameter...
I can't wait to get the fabric and start sewing with it! I plan to make napkins and tablecloths first. They will be so bright and springy!
